Babak Hooshmand, MD
Dr. Hooshmand received his medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medicine in Tehran, Iran. He completed both his internal medicine residency and infectious disease fellowship at Ascension St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.
Before specializing in infectious disease, Dr. Hooshmand worked as a hospitalist. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in Infectious Disease.
Dr. Hooshmand has a passion for teaching and enjoys traveling and exploring nature in his free time.

Dima Youssef
After graduating from medical school in Syria, Dr. Youssef moved to the United States to pursue advanced training. She completed her internal medicine residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and an infectious disease fellowship at Ascension Saint John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
In 2023, Dr. Youssef joined Comprehensive Infectious Disease of Nevada, bringing her extensive expertise to the community.
Dr. Youssef is married and has three children. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.

Li-Chien Chen, DO
Dr. Chen grew up on the island of Hawaii and graduated from Midwestern University Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. He completed his internal medicine residency in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and his infectious disease training at the University of Missouri.
After his training, Dr. Chen practiced infectious disease for three years in Reno, Nevada, before moving to Las Vegas in 2021. He has since established residency in Las Vegas and continues to provide high-quality patient care.
In his spare time, Dr. Chen enjoys hiking, golfing, traveling, snowboarding, and participating in bar trivia.

John O'Reilly, MD
Dr. O'Reilly is a board-certified infectious disease specialist and internal medicine physician. His introduction to the medical field began as a combat medic for the US Army Reserve. He earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from Cornell University, followed by a master's degree in medical science from Yale University, where he was awarded the prestigious Wilbur G. Downs Fellowship and conducted research on HIV and hepatitis C co-infection in Uganda.
Dr. O'Reilly received his MD and MPH from Tulane University, completed his residency at Columbia University, and his Infectious Diseases fellowship at UCLA. Since 2021, he has been practicing in Las Vegas, where he serves on the board of the Southern Nevada Infectious Disease Society.
He has a special interest in HIV care, NTM infections, transplant infectious diseases, and tropical medicine. Dr. O'Reilly is also passionate about medical education, teaching medical residents, lecturing at a nursing college, and hosting an infectious disease journal club.

Ricardo Asuncion, APRN
Mr. Ricardo Asuncion is a nurse practitioner specializing in Infectious Disease. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from De La Salle University in the Philippines, achieving Dean's List honors in 2014. Ricardo worked as a registered nurse for over 5 years across various specialties including cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, wound care, rehab, and long-term care facilities.
He earned his Master of Science in Nursing with honors from Chamberlain University, specializing in Family Medicine, in 2019. Ricardo furthered his education by completing his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2023 with a focus on Antibiotic Stewardship, making significant contributions to the infectious disease community through his research. He received extensive training in Infectious Disease and antibiotic stewardship from physicians in Las Vegas, and has expertise in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Primary Care.
Outside of his professional life, Ricardo enjoys morning hikes with his Silver Labrador and has a passion for music, playing instruments such as the piano, drums, and guitar. Fun fact: Ricardo was a lead singer in a band before pursuing his career in the medical field.

Mary Holstein, APRN
Mary Holstein is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner since 2021. She originally attended the Army Medical Education Department where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing Certification. Following 6 years of active-duty service in the United States Army, she pursued her desire for further nursing education, receiving follow on degrees from El Paso Community College (ADN), the University of Texas at El Paso (BSN), and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (MSN). Mary is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and licensed in Nevada and Texas. She has worked primarily in inpatient Endocrinology and Cardiovascular Intensive Care while returning to education one final time to receive her Doctorate in Nursing Practice and Leadership (DNP) degree in May 2024.
Mary is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the Nevada Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing, and Phi Kappa Phi.
Outside of work, you will find Mary traveling, reading, spending time with her pets, and following the WNBA Aces basketball team.

Lea Diola, APRN
Ms. Lea Diola is a nurse practitioner specializing in Infectious Disease. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors from the University of Arizona's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, where she actively participated in research and was a member of the Research and Clinical Scholarship committee at the College of Nursing. Lea worked as a registered nurse for over 5 years before advancing her career as a nurse practitioner.
She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Arizona, focusing on Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. Lea is a member of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Infectious Disease Society of America. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and is passionate about exploring different cuisines as an avid foodie.

Leilani Marcelino, APRN
Leilani P. Marcelino is a family and adult nurse practitioner specializing in infectious disease at Comprehensive Infectious Disease of Nevada. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Silliman University and went on to earn her Master of Science degree at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, California. Leilani holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
